Founding Story Europa
According to Greek mythology, Zeus fell in love with a king's daughter named Europa. One day she was playing on the beach with a herd of bulls. Zeus transformed himself into a white bull, played with Europa, had her mounted on his back and kidnapped her. He swam with her to the Greek island of Crete. There he revealed himself and had three sons with her: Minos, Rhadamanthys and Sarpedon.
